A proud Longhorn, Joanna stays actively involved with the Texas Exes through philanthropy and community engagement, reflecting her dedication to positively impacting her community. Joanna began volunteering with Austin Pets Alive! in 2009, working on public outreach to engage the community in its lifesaving mission. Her connection to the organization is also deeply personal. In 2010, Austin Pets Alive! saved her beloved dog MJ from the euthanasia list—a moment that solidified her lifelong commitment to APA!'s No Kill mission. She is passionate about supporting APA!'s programs, advocating for lifesaving initiatives, and helping safeguard Austin's No Kill status.
