With a hearty nod to the O.G. thrift stores of the past, our Burnet store offers top-quality merchandise at refreshing throw-back prices. Broaden your thrifting experience by visiting our newest and largest store at 51st and Clarkson. 51st gives you more than just your average thrift store beginning in the parking lot. Before you step inside the door, check out the murals created by local artists that adorn the front and sides of the building. Once inside you will find that 51st is a lot larger than it looks and you can’t help but feel its unique funky vibe that reminds you to Keep Austin Weird. This location is proud to offer the largest Women’ s Boutique section of all the APA Thrift stores with several selfie worthy vignettes throughout and a staff that loves to chat about movies, music, art and their pets. 51st is also the only location with a season and holiday inspired Staff Picks rack, Vintage Accessories and a Boutique Shoe and Purse nook complete with a comfy spot to sit and try on shoes, take some selfies to share on your social media and large mirrors to check out how your new items look.

Did I mention that the staff here loves their pets? You can view pictures of the Pet’s of 51st, proudly displayed on the wall and in the true spirit of APA, you can meet and hang out with the one and only Bug. Bug is a friendly and lovable cat that was abandoned in the 51st parking lot in her carrier. Adopted by APA and taken care of by the 51st staff, she is the first APA Thrift Boutique Shop Cat. You can find her napping on her favorite
brown chair in Vintage Clothing, lounging under the fake tree in Furnishings or sprawled out on the rug in Jewelry waiting for some attention and a chat. If you drive by early in the morning before the store opens, you may even see her hanging out by the front door waiting for the day's festivities to begin.
