Playful, Purry, Adorable

Glider is a roly poly kitty with a big purr and an even bigger personality! She loves cuddles and attention and isn’t afraid to speak up when she wants more. Glider has lots of opinions about everything - which are typically expressed in the form of squeaky little meows - especially about food. She loves her snacks!

Glider can be a little hesitant in new spaces and around new people, but she’s very curious and full of energy once she acclimates. She especially loves playing with feather toys and climbing, and once she’s done playing she’s ready for snuggles. Glider also likes to think of herself as quite the huntress, always on bird patrol by the window. She’ll definitely need a nice comfy spot by the window at her new home!

As a kitten, Glider sadly suffered a dog bite injury to her spine, which left her unable to use her back legs and incontinent. Despite such a traumatic experience, Glider doesn’t let that get her down! She scoots around just fine with her back legs behind her, which doesn’t slow her down in the slightest. She’s fast, strong, and has even managed to scale some hanging dresses in her foster’s closet like a little mountain climber!

Caring for Glider is super easy - even if you’ve never had an incontinent kitty before. She has a simple daily routine to help her go pee, which involves gently pressing on her bladder to express her. It takes no more than a few minutes each morning and evening, and we’ll show you everything you need to know!

In foster, Glider lives with other kitties, who she loves having around. Due to her history with dogs, she needs to be in a cat-only home, but she would love to have at least one other kitty sibling who will play with her!

Glider will be happiest in a quiet home with a good routine since she’s most confident when she knows exactly what is going on in her space. Loud noises and new people can be scary for her, but she’s perfectly content just hanging out with her people and playing with her kitty friends!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
